It is important to keep the transition area orderly for everyone's enjoyment and safety.
There will be bike stands provided (thanks to the Alaska Triathlon Club!). There will need to be about 7 - 8 bikes per rack.
You may want to bring a beach towel to put on the ground as there is some gravel in the transition area. This will also mark off a nice sized space for your belongings.
Mounting your bike prior to fully passing the mount line (the whole bike and the entire biker must be past the mount line) or dismounting after you or and part of your bicycle have passed the dismount line will result in disqualification from the event.
You must also have your helmet fully buckled before you touch your bike. Similarly you must leave your helmet buckled until you rack your bike. In short, don't have your hands on your bike unless your helmet is buckled on your head. Failure to adhere to this rule will result in disqualification from the event.
